Wat ga je doen?

As a Service Engineer, you have a dynamic role where you will work on various projects worldwide, ranging from 2 days to as long as 1 week on-site. While maintenance tasks are scheduled in advance, flexibility is required for urgent repair jobs. Initially, you often work alongside one of your helpful colleagues, and approximately half of the time, you will travel together to expedite project completion.

Since the focus is on maintenance, repairs, and replacing small parts, you won't need to carry many components with you. These parts will be sent from the office to the respective location, ensuring you have everything you need to complete the task efficiently. As a Service Engineer, you'll spend about 50% of your time abroad. Your tasks will vary widely, from overhauling gears, bearings, and propellers to removing mechanical components for workshop repair. During periods when you're not on-site working on a project, you'll provide technical, administrative, and commercial support to clients from the Ridderkerk office, where you'll have the opportunity to prepare yourself for your upcoming tasks.

To excel as a Service Engineer in this company, you'll need technical/maritime knowledge or experience. This could be from a similar role in the same industry or perhaps from extensive work on automobiles.

Furthermore, you'll identify with the following profile:

• A completed technical vocational education (preferably in electrical engineering or pneumatics);
• You are willing to work and stay abroad extensively, with a maximum of 1 week away from home;
• A good command of the English language;
• You are motivated to embark on a training program.

The office in the Netherlands focuses on the after-sales process, which includes maintenance, repairs, supplying small parts, and technical advice. There are 13 colleagues in the Netherlands office, 3 of whom handle all administrative and customer service matters, while the others work as service engineers.
